Plank Walk-Up
From a high plank facing a low step, the hands walk up onto the step one at a time and back down to the floor, the hips kept still.
How to do it
Setup
High plank on straight arms, hands on the floor just in front of a low step platform, feet hip-width.
Steps
- Walk one hand up onto the step, then the other.
- Walk them back down to the floor, one at a time.
- Lead with the other hand on the next rep.
Common mistakes
Hips rocking side to side as a hand lifts: widen the feet and brace. Hips piking up to make it easier: keep the body in one line. Hands landing far out on the step: set each one under its shoulder.
Breathing
Steady throughout; never held.
