Plank Side Jump
The forearm plank with both feet hopping together from one side to the other; the obliques catch the hips on every landing.
How to do it
Setup
Forearm plank, elbows under the shoulders, feet together.
Steps
- Hop both feet a short way to one side.
- Hop them back past the middle to the other side.
- Keep the shoulders over the elbows and the hips low.
Common mistakes
Hips popping up with each hop: keep them in line and hop lower. Landing heavy: light, quick contacts. Feet splitting apart: keep them together as one.
Breathing
Fast steady rhythm.
