Medicine Ball Overhead Slam Circle
Swing the ball out to one side, circle it up overhead and slam it down beside the opposite foot; the circle adds a turn to the slam.
How to do it
Setup
Non-bouncing ball held at the waist, feet shoulder-width.
Steps
- Swing the ball out to one side and up in an arc overhead.
- Slam it down to the floor beside the opposite foot.
- Pick it up with a flat back and circle the other way.
Common mistakes
Rounding the back on the pickup: hinge and squat to lift it. Slamming it onto your own feet: aim beside the foot, not at it. Arms-only circle: the trunk turns with the ball.
Breathing
Sharp exhale on the slam.
