Lying Cross Over Knee Pull Down Stretch
On your back, the opposite hand draws one bent knee across the body toward the floor, both shoulders staying down; the outer hip stretches.
How to do it
Setup
Lying on your back, one leg straight, the other knee bent with the foot flat, arms out to the sides.
Steps
- Take the bent knee across the straight leg toward the floor.
- Rest the opposite hand on the knee and draw it gently down.
- Hold and breathe, then switch legs.
Common mistakes
The far shoulder peeling off the floor: stop the knee where the shoulder still rests. Pressing hard on the knee: the hand's weight is enough. The straight leg rolling with the twist: keep it long and still.
Breathing
Slow and even through the hold.
