Kneeling Staggered Push-Up

The kneeling push-up with one hand further forward than the other; the rear arm works harder, and the stagger is switched between sets.

How to do it

Setup

On the knees, body straight from head to knees, one hand forward of the shoulder and the other back by the chest.

Steps

  1. Lower the chest toward the floor, elbows bending unevenly.
  2. Keep the shoulders level despite the uneven hands.
  3. Press up; switch the stagger for the next set.

Common mistakes

Torso tilting toward the rear hand: shoulders stay level. Always the same hand forward: alternate the stagger set to set. Hips bending at the waist: the line runs from the head to the knees.

Breathing

Inhale down, exhale pressing.
