Kettlebell Press-Up

The push-up with one hand on the handle of an upright kettlebell and the other on the floor; the raised hand sits higher, so the two arms share the load unevenly.

How to do it

Setup

High plank, one hand gripping the handle of an upright kettlebell, the other on the floor, feet wide.

Steps

  1. Lower the chest to just above the floor, shoulders level.
  2. Press back up without the bell tipping.
  3. Finish the set, then move the bell under the other hand.

Common mistakes

Bell rocking under the hand: press straight down through the handle. Torso tilting toward the floor hand: keep the shoulders level. A light bell that wobbles: a heavier bell stands firmer.

Breathing

Inhale down, exhale on the press.
