Kettlebell Sitting Tibialis Press

The seated toe raise against a kettlebell hung from the top of one foot, that leg along a bench, the other foot on the floor.

How to do it

Setup

Seated on a bench, one leg straight along it with the ankle past its end and a kettlebell hooked over that foot, the other foot on the floor beside it.

Steps

  1. Pull the toes toward the shin, lifting the bell.
  2. Hold the bell high for a beat.
  3. Point the foot slowly to lower it; switch legs after the set.

Common mistakes

Bell sliding toward the toes: hook the handle over mid-foot. Knee bending to swing it up: the leg stays straight. Letting it drop: lower on a slow count.

Breathing

Exhale lifting, inhale lowering.
