Kettlebell Side Bend

A side bend holding one kettlebell by the handle; the bell hangs by the leg while the other side does the lifting.

How to do it

Setup

Bell by the handle in ONE hand at the side, other hand at the temple, feet hip-width.

Steps

  1. Lower the bell down the side of the leg.
  2. Pull back up past vertical with the free side.
  3. Work one side for the whole set, then change hands.

Common mistakes

Bell swinging forward: keep it tight to the leg; the path is sideways. Shrugging the bell up: the arm stays long and loose. Hips shifting out: they stay stacked; only the waist bends.

Breathing

Inhale bending down, exhale pulling up.
