Kettlebell Seated Press
The one-arm kettlebell press seated on the floor, legs spread wide; with no bench under it, the trunk alone keeps the torso upright.
How to do it
Setup
On the floor, legs straight and wide, one bell racked at the shoulder, the free arm out to the side.
Steps
- Press the bell overhead until the elbow locks over the shoulder.
- Sit tall on the sit bones; do not lean back as it rises.
- Bring it back down to the rack, then switch arms after the set.
Common mistakes
Lower back rounding on the floor: bring the legs in until you can sit tall. Leaning away from the bell to finish: keep the ribs stacked over the hips. Pressing the bell forward of the head: finish with the biceps by the ear.
Breathing
Exhale on the press, inhale lowering.
