Kettlebell Contralateral Reverse Lunge

The reverse lunge with one kettlebell racked at the shoulder opposite the front leg; the trunk resists the pull to that side.

How to do it

Setup

One kettlebell racked at the shoulder, elbow tucked, the other arm free, feet hip-width.

Steps

  1. Step back with the leg on the bell's side.
  2. Sink the back knee toward the floor, torso tall.
  3. Stand through the front foot; switch sides after the set.

Common mistakes

Leaning away from the bell: stay square and tall. Bell slipping off the rack: keep the elbow tucked to the ribs. Short step back: reach long so the front shin stays near vertical.

Breathing

Inhale stepping back, exhale rising.
