Kettlebell Alternating Press
Two kettlebells racked at the shoulders, pressed one at a time; each comes back to the rack before the other rises, unlike the seesaw press.
How to do it
Setup
Standing, a kettlebell racked at each shoulder, wrists straight, glutes and abs braced.
Steps
- Send one bell up to lockout, the other resting in the rack.
- Lower it all the way back into the rack.
- Press the other bell, and keep alternating.
Common mistakes
Leaning away from the working bell: stack the ribs over the hips. Racked bell sliding off the forearm: keep that elbow tucked on the ribs. Knuckles tipping back under the load: point them at the ceiling.
Breathing
Exhale on the press, inhale lowering.
