Hanging Oblique Knee Raise

From a full hang, draw both knees up toward one shoulder, lower them, and take the next rep to the other side.

How to do it

Setup

Hang from the bar, hands shoulder-width, shoulders set, legs together.

Steps

  1. Raise both knees up and across toward one shoulder.
  2. Lower the legs to a straight hang without swinging.
  3. Raise them toward the other shoulder next.

Common mistakes

Swinging the legs up: lift them from the abs, not momentum. Knees rising straight up: turn the hips so they travel toward the shoulder. Dropping into the hang: lower slowly and stop the swing.

Breathing

Exhale lifting, inhale lowering.
