Sitting Alternate Knee to Elbow Twist
A seated bicycle: leaning back on the floor with the hands at the head, one knee draws in to meet the opposite elbow, then the other.
How to do it
Setup
Sitting on the floor, torso leaned back, hands behind the head, legs long with the heels light on the floor.
Steps
- Draw one knee in and turn the opposite elbow toward it.
- Keep the lean steady as the knee and elbow meet.
- Extend that leg and bring in the other knee.
Common mistakes
Pulling the head down to the knee: the ribs turn, the hands only rest. Rocking back as the knee comes in: hold the lean. Legs dropping flat between reps: keep the heels light.
Breathing
Exhale on each twist, inhale returning.
