Frog Hops

Consecutive forward hops from a half squat with the hands behind the head, each landing sinking straight into the next take-off.

How to do it

Setup

Standing, feet hip-width, hands behind the head, elbows wide.

Steps

  1. Sink into a half squat and hop forward off both feet.
  2. Land softly on both feet, the knees bending into the next dip.
  3. Hop again straight away, the hands staying behind the head.

Common mistakes

Pulling on the head with the hands: they only rest there; the elbows stay wide. Landing on straight legs: bend the knees to catch every hop. Knees caving on the landing: push them out over the toes.

Breathing

Exhale on the jump, inhale landing.
