EZ-Bar Standing Wide-Grip Biceps Curl
The EZ-bar curl with the hands on the outer bends of the bar; the wider angled grip keeps the wrists easy and sets the elbows close to the body.
How to do it
Setup
Standing tall, EZ-bar at the thighs, hands underhand on the outer bends, elbows at the sides.
Steps
- Curl the bar toward the upper chest.
- Keep the hands on the outer bends for the whole set.
- Lower until the elbows are straight.
Common mistakes
Hands drifting in to the narrow bends: that is the other grip; stay on the outer ones. Shoulders rolling forward at the top: chest up, elbows stay back. Rushing the negative: lower in a slow count.
Breathing
Exhale on the curl, inhale lowering.
