EZ-Bar Reverse-Grip Bent-Over Row

The underhand bent-over row with an EZ-bar; its angled grips turn the palms part way in, easier on the wrists than a straight bar held palms up.

How to do it

Setup

Hinged to about 45°, back flat, knees soft, the EZ-bar held underhand on its inner bends.

Steps

  1. Row the bar to the belly, elbows brushing the body.
  2. Squeeze the blades at the top without curling.
  3. Lower along the thighs to long arms.

Common mistakes

Taking the straight part of the bar: grip the bends; that is why this bar is here. Curling the weight: the elbows drive. Torso rising each rep: the hinge holds.

Breathing

Exhale on the pull, inhale lowering.
