EZ-Bar Drag Bicep Curl
The drag curl on an EZ-bar: the bar slides up along the torso as the elbows travel back, and the angled grip spares the wrists.
How to do it
Setup
Standing tall, EZ-bar at the thighs, hands underhand on the angled grips, shoulders back.
Steps
- Drag the bar up along the torso, elbows traveling back.
- Stop when the bar reaches the lower chest.
- Lower along the same path.
Common mistakes
Bar swinging away from the body: that turns it into a regular curl; keep it touching. Elbows drifting forward at the top: they travel back all the way. Shrugging to lift the bar higher: the lower chest is the top.
Breathing
Exhale on the curl, inhale lowering.
