Dumbbell Drag Bicep Curl
The drag curl with dumbbells: the bells slide up along the sides of the torso while the elbows travel back, keeping the front of the shoulder out of it.
How to do it
Setup
Standing tall, a dumbbell in each hand at the sides, palms forward.
Steps
- Curl the bells up along the torso, elbows traveling back.
- Stop when the bells reach the lower ribs.
- Lower along the same path.
Common mistakes
Elbows drifting forward: that is a regular curl; drive them back. Bells swinging away from the body: keep them brushing the sides. Leaning back to lift: stay tall, lighter bells.
Breathing
Exhale on the curl, inhale lowering.
