Elbow Push-Up
From lying face down on the forearms, press up into a forearm plank and lower back to the floor; the forearms never leave it.
How to do it
Setup
Face down, forearms on the floor under the shoulders, legs long, toes tucked.
Steps
- Brace and lift the hips and chest into a forearm plank.
- Hold the line from head to heels for a beat.
- Lower the body back to the floor with control.
Common mistakes
Hips rising first into a pike: lift the body in one piece. Sagging at the top: squeeze the glutes and brace. Dropping to the floor: lower slowly.
Breathing
Exhale lifting, inhale lowering.
