Dumbbell Standing Wrist Curl
The standing wrist curl with a dumbbell in each hand in front of the thighs, palms forward; the arms hang still and the wrists lift the bells.
How to do it
Setup
Standing, arms long, a bell in each hand in front of the thighs, palms facing forward.
Steps
- Lift the bells in an arc with the wrists, arms still.
- Hold the top for a beat.
- Lower until the bells brush the legs.
Common mistakes
Elbows softening into a curl: arms stay straight. Bells tipping toward the thumbs: keep the handles level. Swinging from the shoulders: only the hands move.
Breathing
Exhale on the curl, inhale lowering.
