Dumbbell Standing Back Wrist Curl

The behind-the-back wrist curl with a dumbbell in each hand instead of a bar, so each wrist finds its own line.

How to do it

Setup

Standing tall, a dumbbell in each hand behind the thighs, palms facing back, arms straight.

Steps

  1. Let the bells hang in the fingers.
  2. Bring the bells up behind the legs by bending the wrists.
  3. Lower slowly, arms still straight.

Common mistakes

Leaning forward to make room: stand tall; the bells pass behind the legs. Elbows bending: that is a different lift; lock them. Bells knocking the legs: hold them a little wider.

Breathing

Exhale on the curl, inhale lowering.
