Dumbbell One-Arm Seated Bicep Curl on Stability Ball

One dumbbell curled while seated on a stability ball, both feet down; the single load asks the trunk to keep the ball from rolling sideways.

How to do it

Setup

Seated tall on a stability ball, feet wide, one dumbbell at the side, palm forward, free hand on the thigh.

Steps

  1. Curl the bell to the shoulder, elbow at your side.
  2. Hold the top without the ball shifting.
  3. Lower slowly; switch arms after the set.

Common mistakes

Tilting toward the bell: keep the shoulders level. Feet close together: set them wide. Elbow creeping forward: it stays by the ribs.

Breathing

Exhale on the curl, inhale lowering.
