Dumbbell One-Arm Reverse Preacher Curl

The reverse preacher curl one arm at a time with a single dumbbell, the upper arm flat on the pad.

How to do it

Setup

One upper arm laid along the preacher pad, seated, a dumbbell held overhand.

Steps

  1. Lift the dumbbell off the pad, palm facing down.
  2. Halt the curl before the forearm tips past upright.
  3. Lower slowly, then switch arms after the set.

Common mistakes

Dumbbell twisting toward a hammer grip: keep the palm facing down. Wrist bending back to hold the bell: keep it in line with the forearm. Rushing the lowering: take twice as long down as up.

Breathing

Exhale on the curl, inhale lowering.
