Cable Standing Pulldown (with Rope)
A high-pulley rope curl: the arms are raised toward the pulley and the elbows bend to bring the rope to the forehead in a neutral grip.
How to do it
Setup
Facing the high pulley a step away, rope held in a neutral grip, arms raised toward it.
Steps
- Bend the elbows and draw the rope ends toward the forehead.
- Keep the upper arms still, pointing up at the pulley.
- Straighten the arms back toward the pulley slowly.
Common mistakes
Pulling the elbows down as in a pulldown: they stay up; only the forearms move. Leaning back to use body weight: stand upright. Letting the rope yank the arms straight: control the return.
Breathing
Exhale on the curl, inhale on the return.
