Dumbbell Lying Floor Squeeze Press
The squeeze press lying on the floor: two dumbbells pressed hard against each other, pressed up and lowered until the upper arms meet the floor.
How to do it
Setup
Lying on the floor, legs straight, two dumbbells pressed together over the chest, palms facing each other.
Steps
- Lower the joined bells toward the chest until the upper arms touch the floor.
- Keep crushing the bells together the whole way.
- Press them back up without a gap opening.
Common mistakes
Bells separating as they rise: the squeeze is the chest work; keep it on. Round dumbbells rolling apart: hex bells hold together. Crashing the elbows onto the floor: lower them softly.
Breathing
Inhale down, exhale pressing.
