Dumbbell Incline Inner Biceps Curl
The incline curl with the arms hanging out to the sides and the palms turned out; the bells travel in a wide arc toward the shoulders.
How to do it
Setup
Seated back on an incline bench, arms hanging out to the sides, palms facing forward and turned slightly out.
Steps
- Curl the bells up and out toward the shoulders, elbows staying wide.
- Keep the upper arms still and angled away from the body.
- Lower along the same wide path.
Common mistakes
Elbows drifting in to the ribs: that is the regular incline curl; keep them out. Bells too heavy to hold the arms wide: lighter bells, same arc. Shoulders rolling off the pad: back and head stay down.
Breathing
Exhale on the curl, inhale lowering.
