Dumbbell Biceps Curl with Overhead Extension on Stability Ball

Kneeling on a stability ball, one arm curls a dumbbell while the other straightens one overhead from behind the head; both arms work at once while the body balances.

How to do it

Setup

Kneeling upright on a stability ball, one dumbbell at the side, the other held behind the head with that elbow pointing up.

Steps

  1. Curl one bell as the other arm straightens overhead.
  2. Lower both together: one to the side, one behind the head.
  3. Swap the arms' jobs for the next set.

Common mistakes

First time on the ball holding weights: learn the kneel without them, close to support. Overhead elbow flaring out: keep it beside the head, pointing up. Arms moving at different speeds: start and finish both together.

Breathing

Exhale as both arms work, inhale as they return.
