Dips Between Chairs
The dip done between two sturdy chairs instead of parallel bars; bending the knees lets the body sink between them.
How to do it
Setup
Two sturdy chairs a shoulder-width apart, a hand on top of each backrest, arms straight, knees bent.
Steps
- Bend the elbows and sink between the chairs, chest leaning forward.
- Go down only until the elbows are bent to about 90°.
- Press back up to straight arms, knees still bent.
Common mistakes
Chairs that wobble or slide: test them before the first rep, on a floor that does not slip. Dipping too deep: the shoulders take it; stop near 90° at the elbows. Kicking the legs to get up: keep them still.
Breathing
Inhale lowering, exhale pressing.
