Single-Arm Push-Up on Medicine Ball

The one-arm push-up with the working hand on a medicine ball; the ball rolls, so the shoulder and the trunk steady every inch.

How to do it

Setup

One hand on the ball under the chest, the other behind the back, feet wide.

Steps

  1. Lower the chest toward the ball, trunk square.
  2. Keep the ball still under the hand.
  3. Press back up; finish the reps, then switch hands.

Common mistakes

Trying it before one-arm push-ups on the floor: master those first. Feet close together: widen them for a stable base. Hips rolling open: brace so the pelvis stays square.

Breathing

Inhale down, exhale pressing.
