Curtsy Lunge
Step the back leg diagonally behind the front one, like a curtsy; the cross-over angle hits the side of the hip.

How to do it
Setup
Stand tall, hands at the chest.
Steps
- Step the back leg diagonally BEHIND the front one.
- Lower the back knee toward the floor.
- Drive up through the front foot and return.
Common mistakes
Front knee twisting inward: it tracks the toes even as the legs cross. Shallow curtsies: the depth finds the glute med. Torso rotating with the step: hips and chest face forward.
Breathing
Inhale stepping back, exhale driving up.
