Calves Stretch Static Position

Forearms on a wall and both feet stepped back together, the body leans in as one line so both calves stretch at once; held still.

How to do it

Setup

Facing a wall, forearms on it at shoulder height, feet together a long step back, heels down.

Steps

  1. Lean the whole body toward the wall, knees straight.
  2. Press both heels down until both calves stretch.
  3. Hold and breathe; time it.

Common mistakes

Heels lifting: walk the feet a little closer until they stay down. Hips piking back: keep one line from the heels to the head. Knees bending: the straight legs keep the stretch in the upper calves.

Breathing

Slow and even through the hold.
