Cable Upper Chest Crossovers
A crossover that sweeps upward: from pulleys below shoulder height, the arms rise and meet above the head, working the top of the chest.
How to do it
Setup
Standing between the pulleys set below shoulder height, arms out wide, elbows soft.
Steps
- Sweep the handles up and together until they meet above the head.
- Ribs stay down while the arms travel overhead.
- Lower the arms back out wide to shoulder height.
Common mistakes
Arching the lower back to reach overhead: brace, ribs down. Shrugging the shoulders to the ears: blades down as the arms rise. Elbows folding as the hands rise: the arms stay long.
Breathing
Exhale on the sweep up, inhale lowering.
