Cable Twist
The standing cable twist straight across: the pulley at chest height, the arms long, the trunk turning away from the stack and back.
How to do it
Setup
Side-on to a pulley at chest height, feet wide, the handle in both hands at arm's length toward the stack.
Steps
- Turn the chest away until the hands pass the far shoulder.
- Keep the handle at chest height the whole way.
- Rotate back toward the stack against the cable.
Common mistakes
Bending the elbows to shorten the lever: keep the arms long. Hips locked square: let them turn with the trunk. Stack slamming on the return: slow the last part.
Breathing
Exhale rotating, inhale returning.
