Band Twist
The standing twist against a band anchored at chest height, arms long, turning the trunk away from the anchor straight across.
How to do it
Setup
Standing side-on to a band anchored at chest height, feet wide, the handle held at arm's length toward it.
Steps
- Rotate the chest away, the hands staying at chest height.
- Let the back heel lift as the hips follow.
- Return toward the anchor slowly.
Common mistakes
Arms doing the pulling: keep them long and let the trunk turn. Hands drifting down on the turn: keep them level with the chest. Standing too close for tension: step away until the band pulls from the start.
Breathing
Exhale rotating, inhale returning.
