Cable One-Arm Incline Press on Stability Ball
A one-arm press from a low pulley, lying back on a ball with the hips low; the press rises toward the collarbone like an incline press.
How to do it
Setup
Ball beside a low pulley, hips below the shoulders, the handle at the shoulder, elbow under it.
Steps
- Press the handle up and slightly in over the upper chest.
- Hold the hips and shoulders square against the cable.
- Let the handle back down beside the shoulder, then work the other arm.
Common mistakes
The cable twisting the trunk: brace; only the arm moves. Handle drifting behind the shoulder: stop level with it. Hips sinking: the glutes hold them just under the shoulders.
Breathing
Exhale pressing, inhale returning.
