Decline Kneeling Push-Up on Box
The push-up with the knees on a box and the hands on the floor; the head-down angle loads the upper chest, the shorter lever keeps it lighter than feet on a box.
How to do it
Setup
Knees on a box, shins resting on it, hands on the floor under the shoulders.
Steps
- Lower the chest toward the floor, body straight from knees to head.
- Elbows travel back at about 45°, not out.
- Press back up without bending at the hips.
Common mistakes
Hips piking toward the ceiling: the line runs from the knees to the head. Head dropping first: the chest leads. Knees slipping off the box: rest the shins on it fully.
Breathing
Inhale down, exhale pressing.
