BOSU Cross-Body Crunch
The cross-body crunch lying back on a BOSU dome: as the shoulders curl up and across, the opposite knee lifts to meet the elbow; sides alternate.
How to do it
Setup
Lower back on the dome, knees bent, feet on the floor, hands behind the head, elbows wide.
Steps
- Lift one knee and bring the opposite elbow across to it.
- Keep the lower back on the dome and the other foot down.
- Return over the dome and switch sides.
Common mistakes
Sliding off the top of the dome: keep the lower back centered on it. Dome rocking from side to side: set the feet wider for a steady base. Flopping back over the dome between reps: return only until the shoulder blades touch it.
Breathing
Exhale on the crunch, inhale on the return.
