Bodyweight Single-Leg Deadlift Toe Touch

The single-leg hinge finished by touching the standing foot's toes with the opposite hand, which adds a small twist to the balance.

How to do it

Setup

Standing on one leg, knee soft, arms relaxed, the other foot just off the floor.

Steps

  1. Hinge forward and reach the opposite hand down to the standing foot's toes.
  2. Let the free leg rise behind as the hand goes down.
  3. Stand tall, then repeat; switch legs after the set.

Common mistakes

Rounding the back to reach the toes: bend the standing knee a little more instead. Twisting the hips open with the reach: the shoulders turn, the hips stay square. Rushing the reps: balance first, speed never.

Breathing

Inhale hinging, exhale standing.
