Bodyweight Single-Leg Deadlift Hold
The single-leg deadlift held at the bottom for time: torso and free leg in one line, near horizontal, balanced on one foot.
How to do it
Setup
Standing on one leg, knee soft, arms relaxed at the sides.
Steps
- Hinge until the torso and the free leg form one near-horizontal line.
- Hold there with the hips level; time it.
- Stand up slowly, then switch to the other leg.
Common mistakes
Free leg sagging during the hold: reach it back through the heel. Hips tilting toward the free side: both hip bones face the floor. Holding the breath: breathe steadily.
Breathing
Steady throughout; never held.
