Biceps Stretch Behind the Back

Hands clasped behind the back, arms straight and palms turned down, lift the hands away; the fronts of the arms stretch.

How to do it

Setup

Standing tall, hands clasped behind the back, arms straight.

Steps

  1. Turn the palms to face down.
  2. Lift the hands away from the back, chest up.
  3. Hold and breathe, then lower slowly.

Common mistakes

Bending forward to lift higher: stay upright; the arms rise only as far as they go. Bent elbows: straighten them, or the stretch leaves the biceps. Shrugging: shoulders down and back.

Breathing

Slow and even through the hold.
