Bar Band Kneeling Single-Leg Kick
A straight-leg kickback on all fours against a band that runs from a bar under the hands to the working foot.
How to do it
Setup
On all fours, hands on the bar, the band looped around the working foot, that leg straight back with the toes down.
Steps
- Kick the straight leg back and up to hip height.
- Hold the top for a beat without arching.
- Lower the toes toward the floor under control; switch after the set.
Common mistakes
Kicking above hip height: the lower back arches; stop level with the body. Bar sliding under the hands: press it into the floor. Hips turning open toward the kicking side: square them to the floor.
Breathing
Exhale pushing back, inhale returning.
