Band Single-Leg Split Squat

The rear-foot-elevated split squat against a band under the front foot; the band pulls hardest at the top.

How to do it

Setup

Rear foot on a box, band under the front foot, both ends at the hips.

Steps

  1. Sink until the back knee nears the floor.
  2. Keep the front knee over the toes.
  3. Stand through the front heel against the band.

Common mistakes

Band slipping off the front foot: set it under the midfoot. Snapping up at the top: the band peaks there; finish slowly. Torso folding over the knee: chest tall.

Breathing

Inhale down, exhale driving up.
