Band Reverse Wrist Curl

The palms-down wrist curl one arm at a time against a band pinned under the foot; the back of the hand lifts into rising tension.

How to do it

Setup

Band pinned under one foot and taut from the start, that forearm on the thigh, palm facing down.

Steps

  1. Hold the forearm down with the free hand.
  2. Raise the band with the back of the hand, knuckles leading.
  3. Return to the bottom without letting the band win.

Common mistakes

Band as strong as for the palms-up curl: the extensors are weaker; use a lighter band. Elbow rising to help: pin the forearm. Wrist tilting toward the thumb: lift straight up.

Breathing

Exhale lifting, inhale lowering.
