Band Half-Kneeling Chop
Half-kneeling side-on to a band anchored high, pull it down and across the body to the far hip; the kneeling stance takes the legs out and leaves the trunk to control the pull.
How to do it
Setup
Half-kneeling side-on to a high anchor, torso tall, the band in both hands above the near shoulder.
Steps
- Draw the band diagonally down past the far hip.
- Keep the hips square and the torso tall as the arms travel.
- Let the band return up the diagonal slowly.
Common mistakes
Leaning toward the anchor as the band pulls back: stay tall over the kneeling hip. Hips twisting with the arms: they face forward throughout. Band snapping back up: resist it all the way to the start.
Breathing
Exhale on the chop, inhale returning.
