Weighted Lying Twist
The straight-leg lying twist with a stability ball squeezed between the feet: the raised legs and the ball lower to one side and come back.
How to do it
Setup
On your back, arms out wide, legs straight up over the hips, a stability ball squeezed between the feet.
Steps
- Lower the legs and the ball toward the floor on one side.
- Keep both shoulders pressed down.
- Lift the legs back over the hips and lower them to the other side.
Common mistakes
Ball slipping from the feet: squeeze it hard the whole set. Legs dropping all the way to the floor: stop short and bring them back under control. Opposite shoulder lifting: lower the legs only as far as the shoulders stay down.
Breathing
Inhale lowering the legs, exhale lifting them back.
