Wall Walk, illustrated

How to do it

Setup

Lie face down with the feet at the wall, hands under the shoulders; press up to a push-up.

Steps

  1. Walk the feet up the wall and the hands back toward it.
  2. Stop with the chest facing the wall, body tight, hands close to it.
  3. Walk the hands out and the feet down under control; one rep.

Common mistakes

Banana back against the wall: ribs in, glutes tight. Hands stopping far from the wall: the standard is a hand's width; walk in. Crashing back down: the walk-out is half the rep; slow it.

Breathing

Steady throughout; never held.
