TRX Chin-Up

The chin-up on TRX handles from the knees, palms facing you; the legs take off as much weight as the arms need.

How to do it

Setup

Kneeling under the anchor, handles overhead at arm's length, palms facing you, torso upright.

Steps

  1. Draw the shoulder blades down to start the pull.
  2. Pull the chest up to the handles, elbows down to the ribs.
  3. Lower to straight arms with control.

Common mistakes

Pushing up with the legs the whole way: the arms pull, the legs only help. Shrugging into the ears: blades down before every rep. Half reps at the top: straight arms at the bottom.

Breathing

Exhale on the pull, inhale on the way down.
