How to do it

Setup

On parallel bars, arms locked, body vertical, legs quiet.

Steps

  1. Lower until the elbows reach about 90°.
  2. Keep the torso upright – leaning forward shifts to chest.
  3. Press back to full lockout.

Common mistakes

Sinking below 90° cold: depth is earned; the shoulders complain first. Shoulders rolling forward at the bottom: keep them set back and down. Kipping the legs: quiet strict dips.

Breathing

Inhale lowering, exhale on the press.
