Sumo Squat
Feet wide with the toes turned out; the wide stance brings the inner thigh into the squat.

How to do it
Setup
Wide stance, toes out ~45°, hands at the chest or hanging.
Steps
- Squat straight down between the legs.
- Knees tracking over the toes the whole way.
- Squeeze the inner thighs and glutes to stand.
Common mistakes
Torso tipping forward: the wide stance wants a vertical drop; sit down, not back. Knees rolling in: the stance is lost; push them out hard. Too narrow: sumo means WIDE.
Breathing
Inhale down, exhale up.
