Stability Ball Supine Triceps Extension

The dumbbell skull crusher with the upper back on a stability ball and the hips held up; the glutes and trunk hold the bridge while the arms work.

How to do it

Setup

Upper back on the ball, hips up level with the knees, feet flat, bells above the chest.

Steps

  1. Lower the bells beside the head by bending the elbows.
  2. Keep the hips up and the ball still.
  3. Extend back to straight arms.

Common mistakes

Hips sinking toward the floor: squeeze the glutes and hold the bridge. Ball rolling as the bells move: widen the feet. Getting onto the ball with heavy bells: start light, the bells resting on the thighs.

Breathing

Inhale lowering, exhale extending.
